Food and Drink

Launceston and Northern Tasmania celebrates fresh, local produce grown from rich soil, pristine air and pure water, making it a great place to experience food & drink. You will find this produce at farmers markets, local cafes and restaurants as well as other little tucked away surprises.

Northern Tasmania is home to the Tamar Valley, which of course can only mean one thing; scrumptious cool climate wines. Prepare to be welcomed by world class pinot noir and sparkling wine which you can also find throughout our entire region. Alternately for something different you can also find a dusting of micro-breweries producing boutique beers and ciders using our pure Tasmanian water.
