The Furneaux Islands Festival is a lively three-day event celebrating the island lifestyle of the ‘Furneaux Group’ in Bass Strait.
The 2019 festival will again shine with the Acoustic Supper, the Festival Street Market in Whitemark, Veranda Music at the Furneaux Tavern, followed by the Festival Finale in the beautiful grounds of the Flinders Island Aboriginal Association park in Lady Barron.
The festival offers an alternative to other commemorations across the country for Australia Day. The community of the Furneaux Islands invites visitors to join with locals in this unique music, food and arts-based cultural festival.
